To whom this may concern: Pablo, the nephew of the Spanish boxer, Urtain, is thirty years old and condemned to death in Florida for a crime he is INNOCENT of. The crime Pablo is condemned for occurred in 1994 and he has been incarcerated ever since that time. His first trial ended with a hung jury (no verdict). The second trial ended before it began because of Pablo`s lawyer`s personal problems. The third trial was filled with irregularities and injustices and resulted in Pablo's being sentenced to be executed. Pablo has spent the last eight years of his life in prison and has been on Death Row since December 6, 2000. Our goal is to have the death sentence annulled and to guarantee Pablo's
right to prove his innocence through retrial. Achieving this will be a
very difficult thing because, as in most cases, it depends on the defendant's
ability to obtain good legal defense.
