PRESENTATION

This web page has been created by Pablo Ibar's family and relatives in the United States and Spain.
It is a true story of a young man who has been wrongly accused of commiting a terrible crime. Today Pablo sits on death row exercising his mind and body and mostly waiting, waiting for his chance to prove his innocense.

First and formost we believe Pablo is innocent and our aim is to earn your support so that we can help prove this and bring him home a free man!

Pablo was arrested over eigth years ago and accused of a triple crime. The first trial held in 1997 and ended in a hang jury (without a verdict). Pablo`s second trial ended before it began because of his council`own legal problems and health issues. He was found guilty in a third trial and condemned to death. Pablo has been on death row in Starke prison, Florida since Decembre 6, 2000.

We base Pablo's innocence on the following facts:

1 Pablo has always denied his participation in the crime he has been condemned for.He has never accepted offers of a lower sentence in exchange for pleading guilty.

2 Tanya Quinones (now Tanya Ibar) who was 16 years old at the time, was just starting a relationship with Pablo when the crime occurred. The moment Tanya knew the exact date of the crime she came forward and confirmed that Pablo was with her on that night.
Tanya, who has been loyal to and in love with Pablo during these last 8 years, aware of his innoncence and the struggles that would lie ahead married him in jail in Aprl of 1998.

3 Irregularities:
There have been procedural irregularities, lawyer concerns, "evidence" and lack of evidence issues (no DNA match, no finger print match) that have turned the tides against Pablo and placed him on this ghastly and most perilous journey towards death.

We are unable to give you more specific details about the irregularities of Pablo's case so as not to effect the outcome of any future appeal or trial.
